Douglas Park Lawlor is an Oakland-based Creative Director, filmmaker, photographer, and visual artist whose work explores atmosphere, landscape, dream imagery, and visual storytelling.
Working across film, photography, illustration, and fine art, Douglas is particularly interested in the ways environment, weather, light, shadow, texture, and space can create emotional experience. His narrative and personal work often moves between the recognizable and the surreal, using visual atmosphere as a central part of storytelling.
Douglas is a Creative Director for Entre Vista Promotes, a Northern California creative agency producing commercial films, advertising, branded content, photography, websites, and visual campaigns. He is also a founding member of Entre Vista Productions, an independent filmmaking collective focused on ambitious narrative and experimental work.
His photography has increasingly turned toward the natural world, with a growing interest in landscape, wildlife, and conservation. He is particularly interested in photography's ability to encourage attention toward environments that are vulnerable, overlooked, or rapidly changing.
Douglas was raised in Baltimore, Maryland, and received his BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.
